Panel Discussion: Achieving Information Advantage During Large-Scale Combat Operations

Information advantage is a critical component of success in large-scale combat operations. AOC recently joined with Tangent Link to provide EW practitioner workshops on the first day of EW Live in Tartu, Estonia, Sept. 17-19. The event attracted over 200 delegates on Practitioners Day, and featured prominent AOC workshop speakers such as Air Commodore Blythe Crawford and Professor David Stupples.

The event boasted a remarkable turnout for live demonstrations, with 480 registered participants, 37 country delegations, and 31 exhibitors, 27 of which performed live demonstrations on the test area located on the airport runway and apron.

While details on the findings of the Air Force’s yearlong deep dive into electronic warfare capabilities are largely classified, Secretary Frank Kendall said Monday the findings will shape near-term budget and architecture decisions. (Defense News)

Pagers used by hundreds of members of the militant group Hezbollah exploded near-simultaneously Tuesday in Lebanon and Syria, killing at least nine people, including an 8-year-old girl, and wounding several thousand, officials said. Hezbollah and the Lebanese government blamed Israel for what appeared to be a sophisticated remote attack. (AP)

The US Navy has confirmed plans to configure its Boeing P-8A Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft with a  SIGINT suite using equipment essentially common to that already equipping the Navy’s Northrop Grumman MQ-4C Triton UAS in its Multi-INT configuration. (JED)
