Cyber Electromagnetic Activity (CEMA) 2024

Theme: EW Overmatch – Reestablishing Dominance in the Electromagnetic Spectrum

Taking place at a critical juncture for electronic warfare (EW), CEMA 2024 marks a significant moment as the Army is on the verge of fielding terrestrial and airborne EW capabilities after a 30+ year hiatus.

You're invited to submit an original, unclassified abstract focused on one of the following key topics:

  • Science & Technology: Current, emerging and future trends in EW/Cyber/SIGINT/IO technologies, architecture, techniques, use of machine learning/artificial intelligence and other novel technologies
  • Acquisition Programs: Updates from key leadership, program and capability managers and policy makers on current and emerging programs of record, quick reaction capabilities and rapid prototyping efforts
  • Exercises & Experimentation: Lessons learned from CEMA exercises and experimentation
  • DOTMLPF-P: Integrating holistic CEMA solutions into Army and Joint formations in support of multidomain operations
  • From the Field: Feedback on current employment of CEMA capabilities from operational units, emerging CONOPS, TTPs, signature management and force structure implications
  • Special Emphasis Topics: Multi-Domain Systems of Systems, Information Advantage
    Intelligence Production in support of CEMA operations, Distributed Operations, Indo-Pacific unique requirements, Navigation Warfare, Machine Learning and Automation, Electromagnetic Battle Management in support of Joint All Domain Command and Control

Theme: EW at Scale – EW Capabilities for Near Peer Force on Force Warfighting

Presentations may deal with the Symposium themes and topics directly or indirectly. Any important EW presentation will be considered as all such are relevant to the stated Symposiums topics and theme.

Potential presenters are challenged to explore collaborative EW through innovation and invention. Presentations or demonstrations from US DOD, Industry and Academia are requested for the following topics:

  • Scaling up currently existing EW capabilities for US and Allied Forces
  • Designing New EW Systems for Rapid and Affordable Capability Expansion
  • Designing and/or Upgrading EW Systems for the ever expanding use of the EMS in warfighting:
  • Sharing EW Mission Capabilities across Services
  • Warfighter Perspective

The Dixie Crow Chapter proudly presented $1,500 to each of the Houston County and Bibb County Robotics Teams to support their 2023-24 school year competitions. Jordan Kelsey, L3Harris, and Brandon Head, Northrop Grumman, representing the Dixie Crow Chapter’s Board of Directors, were on hand to make the presentations during the STEM City EXPO Summit held on Aug. 11 at the Museum of Aviation Nugteren Hangar.

12th Annual Pacific Information Operations & Electromagnetic Warfare Symposium
Oct. 17-20 | Honolulu, HI


USINDOPACOM, the Diamond Head Chapter of the Association of Old Crows, and the OSD Phoenix Challenge team are co-sponsoring the 12th Annual Pacific Information Operations & Electromagnetic Warfare Symposium. 

Oct. 17-18 - Unclassified plenary sessions will take place in-person at the Alohilani Hotel. A hosted evening social on the Alohilani Swell Deck area follows the end of the first day from 4-6 p.m. on Oct. 17. This portion of the symposium is offered both in-person and virtual and attendance is limited to 250. Those who register for virtual only will be able to view all presentations as they are given, or after the recording is posted to the site for later viewing.

Oct. 19-20 CLASSIFIED plenary - On the 19th, the CLASSIFIED plenary sessions begin with the morning session set at S/REL TO USA, DEU, FRA, JPN, KOR AND FVEY. The main plenary will be held at the Towers Conference Center with overflow at USARPAC and MARFORPAC HQs. Attendance at these sessions is restricted and requires an additional registration process – please visit the Know Before You Go page for instructions. Classification for sessions on Oct. 19-20 is SECRET REL TO USA FVEY.

The Australian government has confirmed plans to acquire the AGM-88G Advanced Anti-Radar Guided Missile – Extended Range (AARGM-ER) missile via a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) case with the US government. (JED)

The Netherlands is to procure counter-unmanned air system equipment from Elbit Systems over a four-year period. Under a $55 million contract awarded by the Dutch Ministry of Defence – through the Materiel and IT Command – Elbit will deliver its multi-layered ReDrone C-UAS system to the Netherlands. (JED)

Turkish warplanes carried out airstrikes on suspected Kurdish militant targets in northern Iraq after a suicide attack on a government building in the Turkish capital, Turkey's defense ministry said. (NPR)
