We need YOUR help, YOUR input.

Part of our mission as an association is to corral SMEs across our community to advance our profession globally. Help AOC advance our profession across a range of programs and initiatives, including webinars, publications, and STEM.

Do you have a subject that you think would make a great webinar? Maybe you have a white paper to share on an interesting topic. Or perhaps you can join a committee and share your knowledge with our members and support the association. Reach out to Shelley Frost at frost@crows.org to learn how to get more involved and share your expertise.

The Association of Old Crows (AOC) has launched the much anticipated Certified Specialist in Electromagnetic Warfare (CSEW) Certification Program.

Educating and informing the Electromagnetic Warfare community is at the heart of the AOC’s mission and with this new certification program, your professional development training hours can now be applied towards a certified training program.

The AOC Crow Career Builder is a program created by AOC to connect our network of professionals with the next generation of crows. Through step by step communications, our mentors and mentees are given a template for creating a valuable working relationship. Mentees will also have the opportunity to network and socialize among people just like yourselves and make essential connections.

For mentors: Mentoring with AOC consists of a long-term relationship focused on supporting the growth and development of the mentee. A great mentor is able to lead their mentee with empathy, sensitivity and patience, while constantly adapting to changing times and complex circumstances.

To become a mentor with AOC, please contact Blain Bekele for the code.

Microwave Photonics Improving DRFM Capabilities Against a New Generation of Radars
January 27, 2022 | 2:00 - 3:00PM EST
Today's jamming systems live with the constant increase in radar technology and need to provide the ability to conter proportional to this rise. With that, DRFM (Digital Radio Frequency Memory), a digital RF memory and one of the most lethal jamming devices of Electronic Warfare, need to be continually evolving to deal with radars that employ the most diverse and complex waveforms and hard processing techniques. In this context, microwave photonics presents solutions for dealing with high instantaneous bandwidth radar threats, in addition to offering good alternatives for the fully analog processing of RF signals to overcome the main limitations of DRFM, which reside precisely in the processes inherent to digitization. The webinar discusses some points related to Electronic Attack tasks, DRFM bottlenecks, and proposes to explore a recirculating-loop with optical amplification to improve EA capabilities.

AOC continues to connect Electromagnetic Warfare practitioners, industry partners, policymakers and procurement decision-makers.

The year 2020 was a massive interruption to life and business, changing how we work, how we connect and forced us into a new way of doing things. We have created new ways to connect and share with our members through these changing times. We have taken events to a virtual space and created new and exciting opportunities for our members to continue looking to AOC as industry leaders.

Now more than ever it's important to keep in touch and AOC sponsorships are a great way to be part of what's happening right now in the electromagnetic spectrum operations (EMSO) industry.

Partner with AOC to increase your reach!
By partnering with AOC, Industry Partners have a variety of ways to connect with members throughout the year. Stay relevant to your customer base, participate in high-level discussions and, most importantly, nurture relationships with key contacts.

Delivering the Future of Directed Energy
Directed energy (DE) weapons are changing how we think about electromagnetic spectrum operations (EMSO). High tech innovations are more rapidly moving DE systems from the lab to the field and into the hands of our warfighters. In this episode, podcast host Ken Miller sits with Mr. Mark Neice, Executive Director of the Directed Energy Professional Society, or DEPS. Ken and Mark discuss some of the progress in DE from the past year as well as exciting new advances on the horizon in 2022 and beyond. Specifically, Ken and Mark talk about advances in DE for counter UAS capabilities and the progress of other systems, including the Navy’s ODIN, HELIOS and Laser Weapon System Demonstrator (LWSD), the Army’s DE Mobile SHORAD (M-SHORAD) capability, and the US Air Force’s THOR system. Ken and Mark also discuss the universal application of directed energy and electromagnetic warfare and the importance it holds for DoD and the future of warfighting.
