Electronic Warfare Modeling and Simulation

January 16, 14:00-15:00 EST

REGISTER HERE!

Modeling and Simulation is extremely useful to the field of Electronic Warfare. It includes computer modeling for engagement analysis, simulation for training and simulation for test and evaluation of systems, and subsystems. This webinar introduces all of these applications. After covering basic definitions, the webinar focuses on some important modeling and simulation principles:

- What level of fidelity is required in a model and in a simulator (for training and for test and evaluation)?
- How is simulation most effectively applied to the selection of approaches?
- How does simulation enhance the training of commanders, operators and maintainers?
- How is simulation most effectively applied to test and evaluation?
- How can signals be introduced into an EW system for the evaluation of systems and subsystems during the testing process?
- How are system components modeled?
- How are interactions between threats and EW systems represented mathematically?

EW Against a New Generation of Threats
Dave Adamy | 4/13/2020 - /29/2020 | Web Course
This is a practical, hands-on course which covers Spectrum Warfare and current EW approaches, and moves on to discuss the new equipment capabilities and Tactics that are required to meet the new threat challenges.

Intermediate Electronic Warfare
Dr. Clayton Stewart | 6/19/2020 – 6/20/2020 | Web Course
This course is intended for an audience that has some familiarity with electronic warfare (EW) but wants to gain additional depth and breadth in the subject.

Missile Design, Development, and System Engineering
Eugene Fleeman | 7/13/2020 – 7/31/2020 | Web Course
Technologies for missiles are rapidly emerging, resulting in the frequent introduction of new missile systems. The capability to meet the requirements for performance, cost, risk, and launch platform integration of missile systems is driven by missile design, development, and system engineering.

Electronic Warfare Signal Processing
Kyle Davidson | 9/14/2020 – 9/30/2020 | Web Course
This course introduces students to Electronic Warfare (EW) signal processing systems and their implementation, providing a foundation in learning to solve modern EW problems.

3U VPX Module for Wideband Defense, Radar and Communication Applications
The Model 54141A, based on the Xilinx Kintex Ultrascale FPGA, is a dual channel A/D and D/A converter with sample rates up to 6.4 GHz. The Model 54141A supports the emerging VITA 66.5 optical interconnect standard with four optical duplex lanes. With the installation of a serial protocol like 10 or 40 GigE in the FPGA, the interface enables high-bandwidth communications between boards or chassis independent of the PCIe interface.

Outlining Approval Paths and Best Practices to Export EW Technology.

This forum provides a venue for stakeholders, thought-leaders and experts in Releasability, Export Control and Electronic Warfare to come together to focus on the USG processes required to acquire export approval via direct commercial sales (DCS) and foreign military sales (FMS) of EW technology. The first day will be classified SECRET / US Only and outline the specific technology release processes and best practices to enable positive export decisions for industry and the USG. The second day will be focused on our foreign allies and outline best practices and ways to leverage USG DCS and FMS modalities of sale to procure capabilities that fulfill EW operational requirements.

US Secret Only (Day 1) and Unclassified (Day 2)

Registration for this event opens mid-December!
