Fundamental Principles of Electronic Warfare
Dave Adamy  |  10/26/2019 - 10/27/2019
This is a two day overview of Electronic Warfare (EW) with little math above Algebra. It assumes no prior knowledge of the field, but will allow you to understanding the underlying principles of EW and make some important performance calculations.

Machine Learning for EW
Kyle Davidson  |  10/26/2019 - 10/27/2019
This course introduces students to the fundamentals of machine learning and its application to modern Electronic Warfare (EW) and cyber solutions.

Advanced Principles of Electronic Warfare
Dave Adamy  |  10/31/2019 - 11/1/2019
This is a follow-on overview course to the EW Fundamentals course presented at the beginning of the AOC convention. It builds on the earlier discussion, extending coverage to new generation radar and communication threats and countermeasures against them.

Electronic Countermeasures – Theory and Design
Kyle Davidson  |  10/31/2019 - 11/1/2019
The goal of this course is to educate the participants in the the field of Electronic Countermeasures (ECM) and Electronic Attacks (EA). This includes the complete countermeasures development cycle from analysing threat systems, to developing jammer techniques, and finally confirming their effectiveness.

21st Century Electronic Warfare, Systems, Technology, and Techniques
Dr. Clayton Stewart  |  2/3/2020 - 2/21/2020  |  Web Course
This course offers a comprehensive overview of modern electronic (EW) warfare systems, technology, and techniques. The domains of electronic attack, electronic support, and electronic protection will all be explored.

3 Pillars of EW - Electronic Attack

(Part I of a three-part series)

Thursday, November 7, 2019 14:00-15:00 EDT (18:00-19:00 UTC)

This first session in the 3-part series covers the importance of Electronic Attack. EA is the discipline of attacking an adversary’s access to the electromagnetic spectrum. Individual EA topics include:

- RADAR Electronic Attack (EA) vs. Communications Electronic Attack (EA)
- The Jamming System
- Polarization
- Jammer RF Spot Size
- Noise vs. False Targets
- Range

Be sure to register for Parts 2 and 3 covering Electronic Support (ES) and Electronic Protection (EP), respectively.

The Army is moving into the final phase of bringing its electronic warfare visualization and planning tool to the entire force. The system is a command-and-control planning capability that allows commanders and soldiers to visualize the potential effects of electronic warfare in the field. (C4ISRNET)

Next spring, the Army will deploy 20,000 US-based soldiers to Europe to operate alongside 17,000 allied troops in the massive Defender-Europe 20 exercise.  It will be the US Army’s largest troop movement in 25 years, spreading its forces across Central Europe, Eastern Europe, and Georgia in a test, not only of Army logistics, but the ability of US forces to link up with allies. (Breaking Defense)

In what senior officials described as one of the most historic and significant days for the Air Force, the service officially created its first information warfare entity, known as 16th Air Force, Air Forces Cyber, during an Oct. 11 ceremony at Lackland Air Force Base, in San Antonio, Texas. (C4ISRNET)

The U.S. Army has reported that its light armored vehicles are receiving modern anti-jamming devices that enable reliable GPS/GNSS navigation even in the most challenging military environments. Currently, GPS jamming threat is one of Army priorities, because jamming and interference can seriously degrade GPS position, navigation and time availability – even to the point of total solution denial. (Defense Blog)

With an increasingly crowded and complex electromagnetic spectrum, contemporary electronic warfare threats are naturally extremely serious, as they can operate on a greater number of frequencies, attack with greater range and strength and fire from less detectable locations. (The National Interest)
