The 3rd edition of AOC EW Asia will examine technological and conceptual means of ensuring success for regional nations and allies across the spectrum of operational activity. The future of EW and EM Operations in the changing light of current and emerging threats will be explored, including Hybrid Warfare, Information Operations, Cyber and Anti Access/Area Denial (A2/AD), where some potential opponents are excelling. Over the past few years mature, offensive EW activity in Europe has demonstrated that in the electromagnetic domain, warfare is no longer theoretical. The AOC’s 24th European event will consider the future of EW and EM Operations in the changing light of current and emerging threats, including Hybrid Warfare, Information Operations/Warfare, the multi-domain battle (MDB), Cyber and Anti-Access/Area Denial (A2/AD) where some potential opponents are excelling.
Call for Presentations
The electromagnetic environment is changing at an increasing pace and the scope and depth of electromagnetic manoeuvre warfare is consequently changing in parallel. The importance of electronic warfare (EW) system adaptability, flexibility, and innovation has also increased.
To address this, the call for papers is now open for AOC Electronic Warfare Europe 2019. We are looking to hear from international leaders and military personnel, as well as subject matter experts from academia and industry to share their views on new technological and conceptual means of ensuring success for free-world nations across the spectrum of operational activity. NAWCWD, will hold the 48th Collaborative Electronic Warfare Symposium at Naval Base Ventura County Pt. Mugu Station Theater, CA. Day One will be classified US Secret Only. Day Two and Day Three sessions will be classified SECRET releasable to Australia.
Call for Presentations
This call for presentations or demonstrations challenges presenters to explore collaborative EW through innovation and invention. Presentations or demonstrations from all United States and Australian Services, DoD, Industry, and Academ ia are requested to identify technical paths, options, and potential opportunities for EW collaboration with an Electronic Attack focus. Submitted abstracts are specifically requested to address one or more of the symposium sessions: Threat trends, Coherent, Cooperative, and Collaborative Electronic Attack, Collaborative EW enablers to improve EA, and warfighter perspectives.
Abstracts for presentations are required in unclassified textual format. Please forward abstracts to speaker coordinators, Mr. Brian Hill and Mr. Brian Ziegler, at PT_MUGU_EW_SYMPO.FCT@navy.mil, and to Ms. Christine Armstrong at email@example.com. The submittal deadline is 01 Feb, 2019.

During this 1-hour webinar, we will begin with an overview of the DRFM (Digital RF Memory) architecture and functionality performed and work through several examples of practical DRFM technology concepts including photonics and superconductivity. We will explore design constructs that allow the mathematical models to be realized that enable managing the Electromagnetic Spectrum (EMS) from several band-vantage points.
About the Presenter:
Dr. Phillip Pace is a professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Naval Postgraduate School. He received the B.S. and M.S. degrees from the Ohio University in 1983 and 1986 respectively, and the Ph.D. from the University of Cincinnati in 1990, all in electrical and computer engineering.

The Army Cyber Institute (ACI) at West Point collaborated with the Program Executive Office for Intelligence, Electronic Warfare and Sensors (PEO IEW&S); Communications-Electronics Research, Development and Engineering Center (CERDEC); Association of Old Crows (AOC); Electronic Warfare Associates (EWA), and Soar Technology, Inc. to host its inaugural Electronic Warfare Cyber Convergence (EWC2) workshop in conjunction with the 2018 Cyberspace Electromagnetic Activities (CEMA) Conference, October 23-25, 2018. The workshop bookended the CEMA conference with the goal of identifying friction points, gaps, and research opportunities surrounding the Army’s merger of Electronic Warfare (EW) and Cyber.
This article, written by Dr. Jacob Cox and Colonel Dan Bennett, PhD, provides a brief overview of outcomes obtained from the EWC2 Workshop held in October 2018. The Army Cyber Institute plans to publish a full technical report addressing the results of the EWC2 workshop in its journal, “The Cyber Defense Review (CDR),” in early 2019.

The Pentagon is studying options for putting lasers, directed energy weapons, and missile defense systems into space to protect against an array of increasingly advanced ballistic and cruise missiles being developed by China, Russia, and North Korea, a senior Trump administration official said Wednesday. Over the next six months, the Defense Department will weigh whether to develop a new weapon for the F-35 fighter jet that will enable it to strike down an intercontinental ballistic missile in the early stages of flight. And it’s the Pentagon’s lead official for developmental technologies who is bullish on the prospect, telling reporters Jan. 17 that a new weapon could be both operationally effective and low cost. The Marines are making strides in both their ability to destroy tanks with non-tank vehicles and ways to protect their own tanks from incoming threats. An upgraded anti-tank weapon system, mounted on light armored vehicles, is an automated turret system that fires a tube-launched, optically-tracked, wire-guided, or TOW, missile. (Marine Corps Times)
The world's most expensive fighter jet soon may be flying with parts made from a 3D printer. Maintainers at Hill Air Force Base, Utah, last month installed for the first time a metallic 3D-printed bracket on an operational F-22 Raptor, according to the Air Force and Lockheed Martin, the company that produces the $150 million aircraft.
