NEW DETAILS: 6th Annual Electronic Warfare/Cyber Convergence Conference
June 2-4, 2015 | SPAWAR, Charleston, SC

Electronic warfare and cyberspace technical capabilities are becoming more technically similar. However, the communities that practice these disciplines remain largely separated and vary widely across the military services in terms of their equipment, unit organization and operating methodologies. This conference provides the EW and cyberspace communities an opportunity to collaborate and discus capabilities, TTPs and research in EW and cyberspace operations to enable more rapid deployment of new and improved capabilities. The EW/Cyberspace Convergence Conference identifies ways to develop advanced technologies and systems to address the changing battlefield dynamics of the digital age and bring EW and cyberspace together for the warfighter!

INDUSTRY NEWS: Navy Forges Ahead With New Surface Ship Electronic Warfare: SEWIP
American warships are about to get much harder to kill. Armed with new electronic warfare systems, the US Navy "is taking back the spectrum," Capt. Doug Small says. The great advantage of American warships has long been their ability to absorb punishment and to keep fighting. In the modern era, however, the best defense is electronic: The most powerful (non-nuclear) warhead can’t hurt even the flimsiest ship if its targeting system is deceived into hitting empty water instead. INDUSTRY NEWS: Patching The F-35’s Data Fusion Gap
Flights of two F-35 test jets have begun here with a software patch to explore the effectiveness of upgrades designed to improve the "fusion" of the threat picture within multi-aircraft F-35 formations. Fusion is a hallmark selling point for the stealthy, single-engine F-35. Prime contractor Lockheed Martin and officials from the Pentagon’s F-35 Joint Program Office (JPO) say data collected through the aircraft’s electro-optical targeting system, radio-frequency electronic warfare system and advanced electronically scanned array radar will be blended for the pilot in a single display by onboard software in an unprecedented manner.
