CHAPTER NEWS: AOC Wild Parrots Roost Chapter Provides ELINT Course for the Brazilian Navy
Between September 2 and 3, 2015, The Wild Parrots Roost Chapter sponsored by the enterprise Alfadelta-Rio provided a 12-hour ELINT course for the Brazilian Navy EW Center (CGEM) at the Island of Mocangue near to Rio de Janeiro. The course was lectured by Cap. (Ret) Antonio Dias, PhD in Antennas and Radar by UCL/London, to about 30 students among officers, specialists and civilian professionals. The course addressed topics such as the differences between ELINT and ESM, EW receivers and pulse deinterleaving for classification and identification of emitters. During that occasion, forms to join the AOC were given to all participants. An AOC 50 year’s book was also gifted by the Wild Parrots Chapter to CGEM.The Wild Parrots Roost Chapter is the only active AOC chapter in South America.
