EW EUROPE: Report from the AOC's Trip to Stockholm

The AOC EW Europe 2015 conference and exhibition in Stockholm (May 27-28) was a great success and the biggest EW event outside the US. Attendance comprised 760 delegates, speakers, exhibitors and visitors from 42 nations. Forty excellent presentations, partly in plenary and partly twin-tracked kept the delegates busy, and the chairs too. Preliminary results from the conference on-site survey indicated a 100 percent level of satisfaction with the conference and exhibition.  Furthermore, many thought the event was good, with many stating it was excellent. There were a number of useful testimonials as well, including several effectively stating that this was the best EW conference they had ever attended, setting the bar high for the future and a tribute to the speakers, chairs, industry and our logistics partner, Clarion Events. The Exhibition Hall opened on Wednesday evening after the Plath-sponsored Intelligence Workshop (May 26) and stayed open throughout the conference so that the 47 companies present enjoyed terrific foot traffic right up to the close.

SAAB sponsored a dinner at the extraordinary and remarkable Vasa Museum that was most enjoyable. UK Chapter members Chris Howe, MBE, Dr. Bob Andrews, MBE, Dr. Sue Robertson, Ian Fish and Richie Canale assisted with the event, running the AOC stand and chairing technical sessions, and many chapter members were present as speakers, delegates and/or exhibitors. Members from Sweden (Viking Roost), Germany (Red Baron Roost) and the India Chapter also assisted throughout and collectively recruited 31 new members.
