Integrating Intelligence with EW and Why You Should Attend

Intelligence data and analysis have long been the foundation for EW systems and operations. As the pace of technical advances continues to increase and the proliferation of systems dependent on the Electromagnetic Spectrum grows, timely relevant intelligence data is the lifeblood for EW capabilities. Concurrently, the demands on the intelligence community and the increase in the IC's span of responsibilities demands EW Intelligence be focused and aligned with the entire EW mission set.

The National Air and Space Intelligence Center, with headquarters at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the primary Department of Defense producer of foreign aerospace intelligence. NASIC develops its products by analyzing all available data on foreign aerospace forces and weapons systems to determine performance characteristics, capabilities, vulnerabilities, and intentions. Center assessments are also an important factor in shaping national security and defense policies. As the DoD experts on foreign aerospace system capabilities, the center historically has also been involved in supporting American weapons treaty negotiations and verification.

This conference provides the AOC with the first-of-its kind partnership with the National Military Intelligence Association. The co-hosting of this conference at the National Air and Space Intelligence Agency allows for classified level discussions critical to addressing the integration of Intelligence and Electronic Warfare. With their 400+ person SCIF conference facility, NASIC provides a venue to discuss the issues facing both the Intelligence and the EW communities.

The conference theme is "Operationalizing Intelligence in Electronic Warfare for the 21st Century." To address this theme, the agenda is built around four key sessions. 1. Identifying the Problem. 2. Role of Intel in EW from an Ops Perspective Panel. 3. Driving Force behind Operational Intelligence. 4. Next Generation Technologies. Each session will start with a keynote address framing the topic, proceeded by a panel discussion between experts in each topic.

This is a Conference on EW and Intelligence. Participation from military, government, and industry will ensure effective collaboration and discussion on joint issues, gaps, and capabilities concerning the current and future issues.
