Time Is Running Out: Nominate Someone for the AOC Board of Directors by April 10

Print Print this article

Each year, the AOC membership helps determine the future direction of the AOC by electing representatives to its Board of Directors. Nominations for the 2009 election are being accepted now.

This year's election slate will include the position of President, who will serve as Vice President in 2010 and as President in 2011. The AOC President appoints the Association's Secretary and Treasurer, presides over the Board of Directors and Executive Committee and appoints committee chairs. The President also is the AOC's primary spokesperson, visiting AOC chapters across the world and meeting with defense leaders. This is a significant, but rewarding, commitment.

The 2009 election slate also will include three At-Large Director positions. At-Large Directors serve a three-year term. In addition, Regional Directors will be elected for three-year terms from the Central, Mid-Atlantic and Pacific Regions. This year, the Northern Pacific and Southern Pacific Regions will be combined into one region – the Pacific Region.

Nomination forms are available on the AOC website at www.crows.org, or by contacting Carole Vann at the AOC. Nominations must be submitted to Ms. Vann by close of business April 10, 2009.
