In addition to previously announced award winners, the AOC is also pleased to congratulate the 2009 Outstanding Unit Award Winners. Awards will also be presented to these winners during the 46th Annual Convention & Symposium in Washington, DC.
The AOC sent a letter on September 22 to the leaders of the Senate Armed Services Committee and the leaders of the House Armed Services Committee expressing strong support for an amendment and report language in the House version of the FY2010 National Defense Authorization Act. The amendment, which was passed by voice vote, calls for the Secretary of Defense to submit an annual report on DOD EW Strategy. The House and Senate will reconcile the differing versions of their defense policy bills in a conference session. The AOC is urging the conferees to retain the EW strategy report language in the final version of the bill.

Previously unpublished contributions across a broad range of topics in intelligence support across the electromagnetic spectrum are being solicited.
The 2009 UK MOD Air Platform Protection Seminar is scheduled for Tuesday November 3 at DE&S Abbey Wood, Bristol, England.

The Navy may replace its aging fleet of C-2 Greyhounds with tilt-rotor V-22 Ospreys, a Navy spokeswoman said. "The V-22 is being considered as one option for the replacement of the C-2; however, there has been no final determination and, to date, there have been no Navy-specific requirements designed into the V-22," said LT Callie Ferrari, a spokeswoman at the Pentagon.
