Operational Electronic Warfare Course – November 16-19

The new "Operational Electronic Warfare" course is the first to be offered in a new series of courses being prepared specifically for AOC/EW audiences. It is a four-day, unclassified course scheduled for November 16 -19, 2010. The course will be offered in the Dayton, OH, area. A course flyer and registration form are available here.

With regard to course content, persons in the military, government, and industry with an interest in "warfare across the spectrum" from its roots in Electronic Combat to its contemporary EMS Warfare applications should attend this overview course.

The course is intended to instill and reinforce a common level of knowledge on the operational contexts and critical importance of Electronic Warfare. It also serves as an effective, broad-based review for those currently involved in Electronic Warfare planning, operations, technology or management.

Topics discussed include: EW history and overview of EW, major weapons systems and capabilities, EMS theory, radar applications, EW across the domains of engagement, events and resources. Emphasis is placed on support to EW, sensors, EO/IR, DE, NAVWAR, UAS, IADS, IEDs, mission-level analysis, technical analysis, mission responsibilities, training and test, plus relevant case studies (see the website for a detailed list of learning modules).

The course instructor is Joe Hulsey; he has extensive background in EW and is an experienced teacher.

The registration fees are:  AOC Member - $2,000 and Non-Member - $2,200.
